Operation Walk Pittsburgh is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing the gift of mobility to patients in need across Central America. Each mission trip involves a team of surgeons, nurses and other personnel who provide joint health education completely free of cost.
Rukmini Foundation (Nepal)
The Rukmini Foundation was established to address the root causes of discrimination and disenfranchisement of girls in vulnerable areas of Nepal. The foundation’s mission is to empower girls through quality education so that they can eradicate child marriage, end gender inequality, and enable a more equitable and prosperous Nepal.
In Stride with Therapeutic Riding
Located in Western Pennsylvania, In Stride with Therapeutic Riding provides recreational horseback riding with therapeutic benefits to children and adults with disabilities. Riding the horses helps them gain confidence and develop abilities to focus, relax and accept change while learning to ride. Riding also helps to develop core muscles and improve stability, which often is an issue for children with physical disabilities.
Pittsburgh Modern Committee
The Pittsburgh Modern Committee of Preservation Pittsburgh surveys the region’s 20th-century modern and postmodern architecture, design, and public art as a groundwork for preservation. The mission is to engage public awareness of local modernist design and related community experiences through documentation, public programming, education, and advocacy-and together explore its significance and potential to be reinvigorated and relevant throughout Pittsburgh’s diverse neighborhoods.

Steel City Greyhounds is dedicated to rescuing and re-homing retired racing greyhounds in and around the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
